Acquisition expands CMS’s technical depth and regional reach, strengthening Meriton’s presence across the Pacific Northwest under unified leadership.
TACOMA, WA – Jan. 30, 2026 —CMS, a Meriton operating company and leading HVAC manufacturer representative in the Pacific Northwest, announced the acquisition of Hurley Engineering, strengthening its hydronics and mechanical systems capabilities and expanding regional service coverage. Hurley will operate under the CMS name and leadership of Craig Center, President of CMS.
The acquisition of Hurley Engineering expands CMS’s hydronics offering, strengthened by deeper mechanical room and system-level expertise, positioning the company to better support customers with complex hydronic and energy-efficient system requirements across the Pacific Northwest.
Founded in Tacoma, Washington in 1936, Hurley Engineering brings decades of experience in hydronic systems and engineered mechanical room solutions, including boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, and related equipment. Known for its technical depth and hands-on troubleshooting, Hurley enhances CMS’s ability to support mission-critical facilities that demand high-performance hydronic systems.

This acquisition come as demand for high-efficiency, hydronic and system-level HVAC solutions accelerate across the Pacific Northwest, driven by electrification initiatives, aging infrastructure, and performance requirements in healthcare, higher education and industrial facilities.
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
